Mark Bennett

Mark Bennett is a woodworker, with a background in boat-building, large restaurant installations, custom furniture building, and stage set construction. His sculptures are composites of organic forms--shaped as much by the process and materials as they are by the original idea for the work. He finds his inspiration in the geometry of nature, dissecting and extracting what interests him and then reconstructing his own fantastical version of what he has observed.
 
Bennett recently moved to Tivoli from Seattle, where he has been living and working for the past 15 years. He still travels frequently to the West Coast to work on installation projects. For more information, contact the artist here.
