Lara Chkhetiani
Barrytown resident, Lara Chkhetiani (pr: Chech-ee-ah-nee) of the Republic of
Georgia (formerly part of the Soviet Union) will be exhibiting her abstract paintings
in a one-woman show at the Tivoli Artist Coop, Broadway, Tivoli, NY, May 4th
through May 27th, 2007 with an opening reception Saturday, May 5th from 6-8pm.
The show, entitled Energy of Nature, showcases Chkhetiani’s innate ability to
manifest the life energy of nature in her abstract images by using layers of paint,
paper, and color to capture the emotion and texture of nature.
Chkhetiani is an energy healer, trained in Moscow. Her unique talent to channel
energy and release it through her hands is an inherent part of her painting. Her
new body of work, which includes large pieces (6’x 6’) fairly glows with her intensity
