Tivoli Artists Co-op and Gallery

60 Broadway, Tivoli, NY 12583

Gallery Hours: Fri 5-9, Sat 1-9, Sun 1-5

The Tivoli Artists' Co-op was founded in 1993 with the goal of providing a space
where artists would feel encouraged to take risks and produce new work. The group
is self governed by committees and by-laws. Every member pays dues and has an
equal voice. All the artists take turns gallery sitting and curating.  Although
many artists are accomplished before entering the Co-op, the environment stimulates
a further blossoming of individual talents.

SHOW AND SELL YOUR ARTWORK!

BECOME A MEMBER OF THE TIVOLI ARTISTS CO-OP GALLERY

WE ARE CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW MEMBERS

to join us in this 15 year successful, member-run Gallery.

Our record of success…

Last year, in our 1,000 square foot light-filled space, open only on weekends,
our loyal customers bought over $30,000 of member’s art. Twenty-two members sold
work. Ten members sold over $1,000 each, and one member sold more than $7,000.
We have a mailing list of 1,300 local and NYC people who signed up to receive
our show notices. We have a step-by-step planning guide and mailing list for local
and regional press, and routinely receive coverage of our 11 group and solo shows
a year.

What does it cost?

Membership is $250/yr, plus 15% of price of work sold. The costs to advertise
each show are divided among those whose work is in that show: $40 per person is
typical. You may show multiple works in a given show for one fee. You can do as
many or as few shows as your interests dictate.

What are members responsible for?

The primary duty of each member is to act as host for 4 hours every 6-8 weeks.
In a pinch, there are other members who will cover your scheduled timeslot for
a small fee. In addition to gallery hosting, there are activities to organize
shows, write and publish show notices, hang shows, maintain the gallery space,
etc. which are all done by members on a rotating basis. You can select a way to
help based on your particular skills and interests. We do have members who are
only in the area on weekends. Membership is on an annual basis. Gallery is open
Friday 5-9PM,Saturday 1-9PM,Sunday 1-5PM.

Because we are a community-based organization, we do not require jurying of your
work before you become a member. We have members at all levels of their professional
development, and are inclusive in our orientation. This is a place to talk about
art, show and promote your work, learn to curate a show, and make friends. or
contact Kotulak@Hotmail.com for more information.  You may also copy to a document and

Artistic medium and description of current work:

Why are you interested in becoming a member of the co-op?

As a member of the co-op participation and an active role are requirements of
membership.  What skills do you have that you can offer? (examples: writing skills,
photography, marketing, etc)

-Membership is for a one-year commitment.  Are you prepared to take on the responsibilities
as outlined in the current guidelines for participation in the co-op?

-Members are expected to attend meetings, take on a job, serve on committees,
and take an active role in curating and contributing time and effort to each show
they participate in.

-Members are obligated to take their turn in the sitting schedule.  This is your
greatest responsibility.  Failure to take this commitment seriously will result
in a fine, the possibility of work being rejected from shows, and after three
failures to uphold your sitting responsibility in the calendar year, expulsion
from the group.

-Dues are for one year and are non-refundable.

-By signing this agreement you fully understand the policies, guidelines, and
expectations of joining the Tivoli Artists Co-op. You have read and understood
these polices as stated in the policy manaual and you are prepared to enjoy not
only the benefits of being a member, but are seriously committed to the goals
of the organization.
